Alway great to see your work. The “simple elegance” you portray is always refreshing and a nice change from the “In Your Face” style of most other photographers out there these days.

I had hoped you would shoot Marine again. I like #20 most, followed closely by #7. Great little video.

Fantastic work. I see you always go into quite alot of detail about your cameras and film. I would be really curious too hear about your directing methods with the girls. Do you have a series of poses you prefer and like to use on every shoot for instance?

Toll, Jan !!!

Amazing work, Jan! I really enjoy how you fill your frame with the subject. What lens are you using on the Pentax 6×7 for these? Wonderful as always..

Jan, beautiful work as always. I was excited to see a new series on your blog, and the video is great, too! I have a terrible time picking favourites (there’s so much to like), but my top three picks would be 9 and 15. 15 really embodies your style, and 9 does too, but 9 felt like something different, something new from you; I’m not sure why, but it’s very captivating, I kept coming back to it as I was flipping through trying to decide.

I’m really looking forward to watching Film Season 2 – any word on when that will start airing?

…make that top two picks :). Originally I included #12, which is wonderful, but I decided to exclude it in the end, because it seemed the most similar to things you’ve done in the past.

That last photo is the best of the lot, the light and the pose are perfect.

Great work, as I mentioned on Flickr before.

Just curious how you ‘fix’ your locations… do you just book hotel rooms and let it happen, or do you contact hotels with your plans? What’s your modus operandi? 🙂
